No buses - you had to walk anywhere - locally. One of my jobs - get the bucket & spade -
to follow the - trademen`s horses.

I remember when I was young - about 8 years old - my brother and I getting 5p on a Friday after school to spend in the sweet shop round the corner.

That 5 pence went a long way back then.

Well, there were not all these stabbings back then.

I remember my brother and I helping our Dad with the yardwork. Afterwards he would always let us ride in the back of his big panel truck to the local store for cookies and sodas. (We weren't supposed to tell Mom)...
