All still in my little black book smile.png

I did have a list of every station I ever heard on SW but I have long since lost it.
I never did hear the external service from Mongolia...but it was in the 100’s.
Now SW is dominated by China Radio International and I don’t buy the World Radio and TV Handbook.

I didn't know World Radio and TV Handbook existed even....I think it must have been in the 80s and I just found those channels by twiddling the knob on the radio at that time.......My Grandfather spent 12 years in India with the British Raj.......whenever I went to their home the radio was always on, but never in English, would be French, German, or Indian....Hindi probably......whatever he could find on there......so am familiar, or was, with SW radio.......I particularly liked Radio Moscow, which used to come in at 3am, in English, and I would have headphones over ears, listening to a different slant on our news.......sometimes fell asleep with music still playing in headphones, wake up with it still on.... ..

I did until 2010. I designed and built a 1950's vintage-style AM tube broadcast shortwave radio station. I was going to go commercial but the cost of licensing and finding an approved location wasn't feasible. I started listening to shortwave radio at age 6 and by age 8 was building my own. My father was a builder and lifelong shortwave radio enthusiast.

Part of my commercial-made collection that I sold off in the 1990s.
