Personally having been on my own for so long now i have just accepted it as the norm. In addition i have to a degree got selfish and maybe hard to live with now, not to mention introverted when it comes to the opposite sex. All in all not a great combination of traits!

Dating is so much more preferable than actually living with someone.
All the fun and excitement of romance and passion then home to your own place, what's not to like about that?

It’s up to the individual, If its what people want and it works for them, that’s great

Personally, I’ve never been bothered about having a man in my life, if one came along, fine, but I wouldn’t be going out of my way to find one, I’ll leave it up to fate

Mr Mooseblaster for someone who is so adamant about not dating or needing a partner, you sure contribute often to the thread, by telling everyone you're not interested! wink.png

I'm beginning to wonder if you protest too much...

No, I have been relationship free for nearly 24 years and cannot see why people fret so much about wanting to be in a relationship. It seems bizarre to me. I have platonic female friends I've known since around the same time and they don't want relationships either. Friends are fine, but someone around 24/7 would just be annoying.

'15 minutes of fame' - isn't that what we're all supposed to want? But would you want that 15 minutes (actually 1 hour) to be being viewed by a TV audience of thousands whilst you conduct your later in life courtship?

ITV has a 10 episode series 'My Mum, Your Dad' which seems like an adult version of 'Love Island'.

Excerpt from tonight's synopsis - "The children are thrilled when sparks fly between two parents they choose to go on a date, but one dad's refusal to commit leaves him in danger of losing two potential connections. Meanwhile at The Bunker, the youngsters are tasked with making another difficult decision"

Review from The Guardian

Voyeurism at its worst!
