I blocked a number that's been sending robocalls.
However, blocking it hasn't stopped them from leaving voicemails.
Is there anything I can do?

Not only is the frequent alert sound alarming, but I'm afraid my phone could get hacked like it did a few months ago.

When you block a number on your Android phone, your phone won't ring when the person calls you, but the caller can still leave voicemails. The only way to prevent callers from leaving voicemails is to use an app that labels blocked numbers as spam. Your options depend on your phone

Because blocking the caller on the phone just automatically rejects the call, in which case it goes to your carrier's voicemail system. The only way to prevent that would be to block them at the carrier level. Contact your cellular carrier and see if they offer that service.

If contacting your carrier doesn’t solve the issue, you can try using a call blocker app. These apps can help you block specific numbers, and some can even prevent blocked calls from leaving voicemails on your device. Some popular call blocker apps for Android include Truecaller, Mr. Number, and Calls Blacklist

If its a house or BT phone - block it by ringing 1572 - after you have put the phone - down
They will ask you " do you want to block it " just say " yes ".

Sorry to hear that Sunkist ... it sounds like a lot of hassle .... does the number come up on a list of 'recieved calls'?

If so it may be possible to block it from that list ... ?

Good luck xx

Some phones give the o[ptions of either adding the number to your contacts or blocking the number or marking it as SPAM.

If there is no way of doing that then I would contact your service provider and explain to them.

They will prob'ly be glad to hear about scam calls too.
