I received this text today.

I'm not waiting for a parcel and I have a good postman who knows my safe place.

This is a real text from Royal Mail

Don't be fooled by this scam and please tell other people about this.

In Sandra's name we must follow the rules of lockdown and social distancing to get through this nightmare.

There is a parcel scam doing the rounds here. The parcel is supposedly from B T.
My next door neighbour had one .

As well as reducing scam calls to your landline, you can also cut down on scam texts etc, by registering your mobile phone with the Telephone Preference Service, in the UK, by texting "TPS" and your email address to 85095. They then send you a text acknowledgement straight back.

Well, marginally better than the calls I get telling me there's a warrant for my arrest due to unpaid taxes. Or the one that tells me there is a package with illegal substances in it and I'd better hustle off to the nearest police station and turn myself in.

Yup...just another way to get to steal. Sigh.

I’ve gotten emails of the same nature. Always deleted; especially considering I rarely expect any packages.

I have been getting these from "Paypal" for months..which is really funny..because I do not *have* a Paypal account, never have..
And besides..they are not actually from Paypal (look at the second picture)..
But I am sure people click on the link in the e-mail, and god knows what crap gets downloaded onto their computer..
