I have had the "your phone service will be cut off" phone call several times. The fact it is a recording immediately makes me suspicious - surely if it was genuine it would be a real person ringing? There is also the Amazon and PayPal scams. The latest I received was the Amazon one - they didn't even use a recording but a computer generated voice!!

yes i agree. you can tell it's recorded. and there's a click before it starts! i had that again this morning. i dialed 1572, and hopefully stopped it now.

This 1572 thing is not something I’ve heard of.
I used to get one telling me all BT broadband in my area would be disconnected that evening.

neither did i untill i rang my BB provider up to check. and they told me to put the phone down. then pick it up again and dial 1572. and then press 1. and put the receiver down again that will stop their calls getting through in future. today i've not had any scam calls from them since. i'm not sure if your Internet service provider has to set it up for you first though, mine did . for me. smile.png
