Due to our current situation lots of people like me who Never had time to socialise online (due to work & family commitments) are now seeking online company,
No doubt the lurkers will be watching & waiting to pounce on the innocents.....it is a worry.

If ever in doubt on Buzz Dee Dee Report.

What concerned me about this particular scam--it was a text. Not many people have my phone number so I knew this was a scam.
And you're right, it is a worry.....my rule of thumb? If a stranger asks you for money, it's a scam.

So true. And this site is vigilant about keeping scammers at bay.

Scammers will try to get to us in any form i.e by email, phone, letters and text. Years ago I used to get letters saying that I won a competition which I never entered. I just binned them. It kept coming, so I replied saying that they knew my name and address, just send me the cheque. It stopped!
Yesterday I received a letter addressed to my late husband from a lawyer in Spain. Its about inheritance. I googled the given phone number and found that they were sending letters to people all over the world. The funny thing is that the letter was posted from Uk on a franked envelope.

Oh good lord.... didn't realize that Spain used Britain's postal service. News to me! And I'm guessing, news to you too. smile.png
