Apple Cider vinegar with or without the 'mother' in it didn't work for me.
Cod liver oil and orange juice on an empty stomach didn't work for me.
Gin soaked raisins didn't work for me ( at least not after the gin had worn off)
A bar of soap in the bedclothes didn't work for me.
Avoiding potatoes and tomatoes and other foods in that family didn't work for me.

I'm open to suggestions as anti inflammatory medication upsets my stomach.
I think proper cannabis might work but my grandson is a keen Police Cadet and would probably turn me in if I try to score some from the local dealer outside the high school.

LOL Aida - give turmeric a try. I honestly swear by it. I have arthritis in both my hands, mainly the wrists, and if I go even 3 days without my tsp of turmeric I sure can feel it. My doc who I see only once in a while (much to his chagrin) gave me a prescription once for naproxin and it's not bad but like all meds has its drawbacks. Once I discovered turmeric I never took anything else. Do yourself a favour and look it up on the internet. Its often called golden milk but we don't have a nice fresh milk in this city so I got used to just putting it in my coffee in the morning. I have about 3 cups of coffee in the morning and that takes care of a tsp full. You may need a bit more because you didn't say what is wrong with your knee. But look it up. You can buy the root if you don't mind yellow hands or do what I do and buy the powder. I believe you can also buy it in capsules but I found I don't get the same benefits from them. If you decide to try it then get the Indian turmeric (if you have an east Indian store around you) not Chinese. Big difference in quality.
Hope it works for you. btw potatoes, tomatoes , eggplant and tobacco are all part of the family of nightshade plant and can cause an allergic reaction in a lot of people, also cause more pain in arthritis and inflame eczema. I only use soap for washing lol.smile.png

I'm very pleased to see Pascalou open to and using natural products of Nature to combat ailments and conditions. Nature has an absolute mass of super powerful super quality healing resources that are
free and readily available unlike many pills and potions from the medical/pharmaceutical industry.

Nature is always my own personal first port of call for any ailment. Always.

Doctors I find simply want to peddle medical industry products and often don't even bother recommending natural solutions because either :

1. They are themselves utterly ignorant of such remedies

2. They know about them but are under pressure to push pharma solutions instead

3. They know about them but don't personally believe they work and that bias impacts their impartiality

4. They think some remedies are inherently dangerous

Yet for 1000s of years mankind has used nature as a great source of healing.

For myself, I have spent time reading and learning about natural remedies (by which I mean real products of nature, herbs, plants etc not Homeopathy) as much as possible.

I take personal responsibility for my own health, I don't believe that to be the responsibility or purview of anyone else. I will seek advice and information from a wide variety of sources not just blindly following any single source and I am very happy to look into the merits of remedies which appear to fly in the face of
(cough) conventional medical wisdom.

Everything has its place but the singular most important factor in it all is information and the ability to gather information and appraise it.

Nature is a wonderful resource.

A single clove of garlic contains within it over 300 active compounds all working in harmony with each other as Nature has designed over 1000s of years through iterative development.

By comparison a paracetamol tablet generally has but one active compound in it.

It is in my opinion very well worth spending time to look into what Nature's products can do for our health.
There are countless books of herbology and the like to be found on Amazon.

Very interesting, Realist . My GP is an Indian woman who warns against the side effects of many allopathic medicines and promotes self management of certain complaints without resorting to heavy duty drugs. She is helping me manage my painful arthritis. Before I take pills I check them out ! For example, check out omeprazole ! Scary !
I'm about to try turmeric. Thank you, raya

I don't think I could put that brew from the OP in to my mouth without being sick, I know some of these remedies work but the thought of bits of tree and god knows what else is a big no no for me.
I have used prescription medication when I had a heart problem and still use Anadin now and again if I start with a bit of chest pain.
I wouldn't write off herbal if prescription didn't work but so far it has worked.
I would just hope if I did have to have herbal stuff it didn't look like that from the OP.
Hope it works for you and kudos for getting that down you.

Try giving up gluten for 2 to 3 weeks. You may well find it greatly relieves your arthritis.

My other half did it and got big results.

9 Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
11 Calling a bird of prey from the east,
The man who executes My counsel, from a far country.
Indeed I have spoken it;
I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it;
I will also do it. (Isaiah 46: 9-11)
