I’ve done Judo in the past, now I go to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu four days a week. We start at 5am and go hard for an hour. I’m better than many but worse than some, for now. Lol.
Post your experience with martial arts if you’d like.

I know Karate, Kung Fu, Ju Jitsu, Tai Chi and several other foreign words.

Actually the only experience I have with martial arts is through my children and GKs, several of whom are Black Belts in Ta Kwon Do. One is a instructor and also does Brazilian Ju Jitsu and other forms of MMA.

Admire your commitment...5:00 a.m. and for an hour??? That means you're up at what time?????

No experience with marital arts--except for a brush with Akido in a dance class.... hardly qualifies!

I always loved Bruce Lee growing up. I’d make my own nunchucks out of shovel handles and chain. Watch out for that fancy move between the legs though. Ouch!!!

I absolutely love martial arts.
Sadly I never got a chance to practice as a child as I would have loved Kung Fu or Taekwando.

But I enrolled both my kids to Taekwando when they were 4 and one of them got black belt age 10.

I wanted to start Taekwando a couple of years ago myself but gave up the idea as had a quadruple fracture to one foot which leaves me with a fragile bone.

But I do practice occasionally Tai Chi and Chi Gong which are very different,

I chose Taekwando over Judo and/or Karate for the kids as was told the latter damaged your spine as you had to carry your practise partner weight on your back which is never the case for Taekwando and Kung Fu.

I swapped Zumba for Tai Chi after hypertension struck.
Upsetting at the time as I loved the speed and dance aspect of Zumba, but it was a needs must.
Total contrast, but I have grown to like and appreciate the benefit I get from Tai Chi .smile.png
