I have to have my pacemaker checked every three months, but no more they put in a new pacemaker with a battery but told me to phone a number when I get home, there is a choice an apt on your phone or a small machine that you plug into the power and it reads the data on your pacemaker that is transferred to your hospital.
Saves a couple of trips.

Yes. My father had a gadget that could receive data from the pacemaker every month and automatically send it to the doctor’s office.

Didn't know till last week that you can get a smartwatch that phones emergency services automatically if you have a fall. Apparently it also does an ECG and heartrate. Not cheap but amazing piece of kit.

It's impressive stuff they come up with now isn't it. Some of these monitors sound amazing.
