  • My daughter brought home an eight quart basket of ripe (small) peaches. She asked me to make peach crisp. It turned out well...but I will omit the salt the next time and add a bit of sugar and cinnamon to the peaches. I added chopped walnuts to the topping!

    I have leftovers ...will warm up....add some nice vanilla ice cream...

    Yes, correct...there is a difference. Cobblers differ from crisps or crumbles in that they typically have a biscuit topping covering the cooked fruit. The biscuits are usually dropped onto the fruit in small rounds, giving it the appearance of a cobbled road, hence the name.

    Btw...my son recently moved to Texas. He likes it there very much. A road trip is in my future.smile.png
