Welcome to all the Buzzers taking part.

Today is the first day! Monday January 10

All you have to do is weigh yourself and record this just for your own personal record.

You don't need to send me your weight.

This week we will all be trying to eat healthily and exercise a little more if possible.

Next Monday ( 17 January ) I will ask you to PM me how much weight you have lost,

if any over the first week.

It's as simple as that. The results will be posted next to your number.

This way we can all track how we are getting on.

We have men and women taking part. All have different personal fitness goals.

We are aiming for a little progress each week.

@Rain - another thing that could be measured is a percentage of weight lost rather than strictly the total amount. Participants would need to send you their starting weight though to calculate that.

Regardless, it's more about getting healthier rather than producing the biggest number at the end. Hopefully in that regard we'll all be winners.

portion control ..and water.
i made my plate for dinner. and before eating .. scraped *some of it onto a luncheon plate for tomorrow.
i didnt miss it.
i know where it is. its in the fridge. lol. instead of my belly. :xxx:

i used to hate water.
so bland. but im ok with it in past years.
its clean. light.

i generally eat pretty healthy.
more than i should of healthy stuff.. lol.
but my biggest culprit is drinking my calories.
thats where i think i might best benefit from keeping an eye on.

Not on a diet, however on the 1st Jan I threw all the leftover holiday treats in the bin.
Get all the tempting foodie treats out of the house , if you ain’t got it you can’t eat it.

So far so good for me. I've decided on a dry January. No alcohol at all (a bit of a challenge because I do like beer). I've been doing intermittent fasting. Only eating between 1pm and 7pm and not eating during the other 18 hours of the day. I've also been trying to walk/jog for 30-60 minutes a day.

Hello to everyone in the Weight Loss Group and to those who are thinking of joining us. I have some news!

One of our members came up with the great idea that we could have a weekly meeting in the function room to discuss our methods and progress. I have asked permission form Mila and she has kindly said we can use the room.

The meetings will be every Sunday evening at 7pm Irish/UK time. The times in other countries will be different, obviously. It’s easy to convert to your time zone by looking online. I stress that this meeting is for the weight loss club members only and is only for discussing weight loss matters. Not for general chat. It will be informal with all the weight loss club members welcome to join in and tell us their diet and exercise experiences during the previous week. So, the first meeting is Sunday 16th January in the Function Room at 7pm Irish/UK time. It will last about an hour.

Also, the day to weigh yourselves and send me your weight loss for the week is Monday 17th.

It’s lovely to hear how you are all doing. Keep up the good work!

If anyone wants to join, just PM me and I will issue you a number.

I wish you good luck, Rain! Personally, for some reasons, I'm not ready to join your project yet, but I'm glad you are going in right and healthy direction.

A big thank you to everyone who came to the first Buzz Weight Loss Club Chat Meeting earlier this evening.

Everyone felt they got so much out of it.

First weigh in tomorrow, Monday 17th January.
