Despite knowing it and the River Pinn from end to end. Had absolutely no clue, that this railway existed.

I lived in South Ruislip and in the summertime would walk to the lido and pay our tuppence at the revolving gate.
My schoolmate drowned there in the lake swimming.

The railway in my days only went to one station halfway around then doubled back.
The restaurant was a cup of tea and slice of cake now demolished and rebuilt .
They did some filming there, may have been the Titanic may be wrong about that.
Just outside is Black Best woods and my sister and I would walk in front of mum and dad and we would find pennies by magic.
There was a large bit of common land nearby and a lady on a horse chased me around a tree, been scared of them ever since.
There is another woods up there with a memorial of a crashed plane.
I better explain my mate Gorden Venables had a leg iron on one leg and it got caught up in the weeds.
