All looking good ! BrExit is happening. :-)

11 hectares (27 acres) of land have been purchased quietly by government some 20 miles from Dover to site a vast new Brexit customs clearance centre for the 10,000 lorries that come through the Kent port from Calais every day.

Business always finds a way to work things out otherwise there is no business. We import fresh lamb, products, fruits, veggies and flowers from all over the world so no reason Europe should be particularly difficult imo.

Note that this huge swathe of land had to be purchased QUIETLY, in other words secretly. The secret Gov land purchase was kept so quiet that even the local brexit supporting conservative MPs were kept totally in the dark about it. The huge lorry park plans were brought up in previous discussions, including on this site, but was casually dismissed as 'Project Fear'' well i'm afraid project fear has become official Government policy in a lot of areas...all introduced quietly of course and with little fuss e.g introduction of customs posts in NI within our own borders, our own country!! These are situated at Larne, Warren Point and Belfast. But back to the lorry parks. Others are planned, not only in Kent but in other areas too like Hull, all hush hush and kept quiet as not to offend the locals, many who would have supported brexit but without understanding the implication of ditching frictionless trade. This huge Kent lorry park site was acquired as to not totally stuff up the M ways and other trunk roads in the area with miles upon miles of HGVs. Not only are the local brexit supporting MPS now doing their nuts, so are the tens of thousands of home owners, many of them brexiteers who will now have a massive 24/7 holding area for HGV1s literally on their doorsteps.
What happened to the 'Oven ready deal' that Boris was elected on?
Seems like we're into blind faith territory now.
