It always seemed logical as one of the richer states we'd be paying more, indeed subsidising and helping the poorer countries to raise their standard of living so that Europe is prosperous from East to West. It's a long term goal but one I personally agree with, as a rich country we should help those poorer than us. I'm sure that view is unpopular with many, as its a socialist view-point, but I'm all for it, as are many others across Europe.

An admirable ambition......

However I have today received, through ‘official’ channels, so no quibbling please, notice that the EU has allocated €16 billion ‘to help maintain and further enhance the EU’s leadership in space’.

A first-class way of standardising living standards across Europe...

For those of you who scour the EU’s website looking for budgetary information it is all there, somewhere!

Interesting. Could you send a link on that statistic?
16 billion is what, 10% of the total EU budget? Sounds like an amazingly high figure.
I must check for myself! Even if that figure is correct, it's still only about 30% of what the USA spends on space.

Thing is it's their own money. We are not a 'United States of Europe ' yet!

Till recently I thought Lib Dem yes ..but no to Jo Swinson who seems to think the libs in power will disregard the referendum ...is as bad as the rest of them.
It’s true they are all the same.

It’s back to the greens.

She sounds to me like somebody who is listening to all sides of the arguments and making an informed decision as to what she feels best for the country.

You didn't think the "bad as the rest of them" line sounded a tad like a moan then. .

No surprises there I suppose, "all sides of the argument" means in some cases, "all politicians are corrupt, traitors, possibly worthy of a violent end in some peoples eyes " (though not yours on the last comment I accept). .

Why is the sentence above ( bold) in quotation marks?

I am finding these continual and erroneous references to a fictitious incitement to violence rather wearing.

I totally agree.

But the ruling elite establishment that operates the existing "easily manipulated" system will never voluntarily remove it or replace it with a "fair" system.

How do you propose we convince/make them give us one?

"Get your submachine gun out", is that what you're suggesting? You need to get yourself into a " safe Brexit party seat", and face down all those traitorous MPs in parliament IMHO. .

He would put America first and British citizens would become second class citizens in matters of health and social care. Some dismiss this suggestion but Trump is a sinister character already intervening in our election process. Will this election be our only chance to make sure the NHS stays in the hands of British people ?

And this my friends is a good example of propaganda if ever I saw one.
