My son, when he was little, used to watch Dr Who from behind the couch. He would be peeping out ready to duck back if it got too scary. I think that was the time of the Daleks

I did similar myself years ago, I think it was cybermen who iirc hands folded down and they had weapons in their wrists and shot people, It was all so long ago the memory is a bit grey,
I do remember they scared me as a young boy, Daleks I love, I have asked for a full size talking Dalek for years as a present but still haven't got one :( Who knows maybe this year santa will be kind,
Exterminate Exterminate

Think it depends on just what years you watched it, it has been going on so long. almost rivals Corrie

The first four were memorable for me, William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker
Not forgetting a certain Peter Cushing landing the starring role in the Dr Who movies

The Daleks were my favorite villains in the series.
Q: Why did the Dalek apply for a job in pest control?
A: He liked the job description - "Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Tom Baker was the first doctor I saw.... then long years later, Christopher Eccelston and David Tennant became favourites. Not so sure about Matt Smith.... but what I love is the different ways actors have handled the role. Might return to the series again....

Jodie Whittaker and the latest series is by far and away the best.
All the previous DRs wers stuck in a 100 year old time continuum.
The 40/50 year old hero male with the admiring 14 year old girl was so male fantasy.
But should we be surprised when 99% of TV programmes pander to male fantasies.
13th Doctor series was bringing the DR into the real world.
Didn't the male fantasy types scream.
