Sheesh Bretrick, well while you're splashing around doing nuffin' how's about you popping over this side of the island and taking a walk around here locally. I'll carry the bucket for any more finds as long as you don't mind splitting the takings.

When we got back to our car having been in a supermarket we saw a ten pound note lying nearby.
We both looked around to see if anyone who might have dropped it was looking for it. We waited awhile, couldn’t see any likely candidates so we gave the note to a homeless person sleeping rough.
I think the law in the UK says it should be handed in to the Police and if it is not claimed after six weeks the finder can claim it. The Police station was miles away. Would the person who dropped it have reported the loss to the Police ?Who knows ? A dilemma.

Some years back on my way to work, I came across a breath case, and as I was close to our police station I popped it in I was told to stand back as the officer sniffed the case and then opened it saying it could have been a bomb, the police phoned me later at work and said it was collected later that morning but the person never said thank you.

Early this year my wallet must have fallen out of my pocket as I was on my mobility scooter in side it was £40 for my bus pass and my Visa card, I paid £18 for a replacement bus card and waited a week for a new bank card.
Never got my wallet back.

I remember finding a five pound note years ago when it was worth rather more than it is now.

I didn't have a lot of money myself at the time, so i neither handed it in nor gave it to charity - instead i bought some much needed groceries for myself.

When I came out of the supermarket the other day, all I found was a penny...

Several years ago, we found in the gutter, a baby's gold bangle. We rang the police, tell the truth, they were not interested. Anyway we gave them our details, so that the owner might claim it back. We still have it. Still waiting for a claimant.
