Brother4s in Arms

It’s hard to interpret this image
As we sit and sadly stare
As though left by a Guardian Angel
To remind all of us who care
The thoughts of many Military men
Of battles fought won or lost
The smell the noise and the sadness
Perhaps their colleagues lives it cost
But here they’re gathered together
The Union of Brothers in Arms
In reverence paying their respects
With a mist the scene becalms
The crosses in rows in front of them
The myriads of Poppies too
If you close your eyes for a minute
Creating a Memory for me and you
For most us Have heard those Eternal words
“ At th going down of the Sun”
Just another solemn reminder
Not forgotten we remember them every one

It seems to me, that it took about a year to find this British documentary about WW I.
"They will not grow old". What they say, about what they have seen and feel and how they are treated still happens today. A lot of those feeling and memories do not go away and the ones that have not in their boots can not fully understand the true mental impact.
They have to change their mental mindset to just get through the hour, day the week or months and even years.
If you watch it or have lived through it you may come to understand the way some people are.

I transposed the image into words to give readers food for thought without pride or predjustice In W W 1 I lost 3 Uncles and 2 Uncles were wounded for life. Since then I have many Military friends with wounds that do not show from deep in their soul; but they all come under Brothers in Arms
