There is "supposed" to be white noise, pink noise brown noise what ever colour you want just about.
Its to do with frequency and repititions and all such scientific wave length theory.
Supposedly different colours affect the mind in different ways.
Helping people sleep or relax or what ever mood they are looking for.
There is no actual scientific proof any of it works.
But if you "believe" it will work may be it will.
No harm in trying I guess. smile.png

It sounds a little different than white noise. Wikipedia defines it. The difference is incomprehensible. What's important is that most research done on the effect on memory of night time back ground noise-- white, pink, or brown-- noise uses pink noise. I don't use a smart phone app for pink noise because very few, if any smart phones cane reproduce the required sound spectrum.

You say "There is no actual scientific proof any of it works."

You are so wrong. There may be no actual scientific proof any of it works that you are capable of understanding, but I was educated as a medical statistician and I have 3 degrees in psychology. I read research studies for fun, and I understand them.

As a retired psychologist (not crazy people, but learning and habit formation) I'm inclined to think that the "problems" you have are the product of too good a life. Your brain learned these things so well that it fell out of practice. Balance: fastest road to recovery: learn how to ski. #2 : the physical therapy program Fysical. #3 join a gym and get balance exercise instruction; #4 spend a lot of time at home alternation standing on one leg at a time. Attention: see my comment herein on pink noise.

Drove down the mountain in a snowstorm that blew across the Rockies last night. My night vision is not as good as it used to be so I tend to drive a lot slower. The good news is the deer don’t come out during a storm so I could focus more on where the road side ends and the mountain begins.

I love to drive but have cut back now, leaving it most of the time to my wife.
I have never had a prang or a parking ticket or been stopped by police, it's time to cut down now.
I did do a bit of lorry driving and internal artic driving (moving trailers about) I drove a Morsly and a little Scarab.
Now to pass your test you have to work a SatNav, that's me failed
