Still driving here every week many miles but have cut back with my new leg on longer trips and try to ride with friends which I was lucky enough to do this week to Oklahoma and back. That long is almost too much for my new leg. I admit it is some sore from the last week activities.

My mom drove into her mid 90s. She did not scare me when I was a passenger.
Finally, my sister and I asked her doctor to tell her she should not drive. I can't remember if it was when she tried to renew her license or what.
Boy was she angry!!

After 4 weeks of not driving my wife let me drive halfway to Southampton about 25 miles I will confess that I was a bit on the nervous side.

I still drive daily and regular, but with that said, I avoid nighttime driving some of
the time, not all the time, and I no longer drive the freeways/highways in the evening.
My eyes continue to change some, so I make the necessary adjustments..

I'd guess my driving days are coming to an end. Haven't driven at night for a few years now and have lost the sight in one eye recently. I limit my driving to local areas that are familiar to me and again, only during daylight hours.

I just hit 90 and my present driving license expires next December. Neither of my "eye doctors" has suggested that I give up driving but I doubt that I'll re-new next year. My wife let her license expire last year so we'll have to depend on the kids and grandkids for necessities ( doctor visits, etc.) during our remaining years. Fortunately most of them live nearby.
