I think the word Senior must be better than the one they use in the UK :- Old age pensioner .
Senior sounds fun & frivilous . Pensioner sounds old & dowdy.:laugh: :laugh:

I’m not a “senior” and never want to be referred to as such.

It’s not a word we use much to describe elderly people where I come from in England.
I don’t mind being called “old” but would cavil at being called “senior” - it has an air of fake civility.

When I do start to draw my state pension - eventually - if they ever stop moving the goal posts and I reach that point before I snuff it - I will become a Pensioner or an OAP or Old Age Pensioner. That description will be fine by me, as I’ll still feel as young at heart as I do now.
