Isabel Allende, Joan Didion, Paulo Coelho, Jodi Picoult, Diana Gabaldon, these are some of the writers I love.
I cannot mention any writer I don't like because usually I forget about them.

Love historical novels so Jean Plaidy comes to mind
Also liked reading Gerald Durrell books.
To be honest I never remember the authors, but more the title of the books ie. The Last Concubine, The Book Thief, etc.

Picking a favorite book would be like picking a favorite child. I love so many of them.

Music was my refuge.
I could crawl into the
space between the notes
and curl my back to
the loneliness.

Unintended Cosequenses by J Ross
It was given to me and told to read this you will fall over, well I about did so when I found so many people in it I really knew and could relate to so much in it yet supposed to be a fiction book and characters in it so many of those in the book had been in my home and I knew them from work and other places what a huge surprise to me yes it got to me very much about a fictional govt covert cover up and the fall out from it what a surprise for me reading it, I contacted the author and got a reply in minutes as to who I was and more details about me as to my knowledge on it. Had several other contacts from the author over this.

It would not be for all even at 883 pages a long read but very gripping to me relating to people, places and events I knew about, some far fetched things I admit in it but so much hit home.
