I would like a desktop program, I tried Google but had no luck can anyone help?
Would like to be able to convert centimeters and millimeters to inches?
Failing that is there a chart to put on the wall?

you don't need a program, use the (usually already present on Windows machines) calculator, it does all sorts of stuff!

By the way, you mentioned Google - just type in "convert x centimetres to y inches" and Bob's your uncle, up pops the answer.

OOPS - got that wrong!

The standard Desktop calculator that comes with windows will do that you just need to selct the right format from the menu, look in the top left corner once the calc is open.

caretaker may already have 'Calculator' on his machine but just hasn't found it yet (stranger things have happened). Assuming he runs Windows that is..not sure about other variations.

If Windows will have a calculator, the software link I posted above (used it for years) is so easy to use that a child can do it, anyway his choice.
