I have an Android smart phone, that just recently started to give me connectivity problems
My WI-Fi turns off and on again at will, very frustrating.
I have looked on You Tube for help and it seems it is not an uncommon problem as there are lots of videos on how to fix it, but they are difficult for me to follow.
Has anyone else had the problem and how did they mange to fix it ?
I could take it into the many phone repair shops around but would like to try it myself first.
Thanks.
Lenny

My wife had problems with her phone and she took it to Vodaphone that we are with, we had to leave it with them for one hour and were charged twenty-five pounds he said the main problem was the 21 games she downloaded.
Sorry, but not much help.

Does this happen when you are out and about also at home? if at home also have you paired the phone to your modem's wifi?

So far been good but now we changed to a new contract with them and pay an extra £1.10 for a virus checker.

Coldfeet,, yes this happens when I am out, but also when I am home not sure what you mean about pairing my phone ? Everything else at home works and does not cut out, TV is fine, desk top is fine. I have had the phone for 2 years , the problem only started 2 weeks ago,,, Thanks

When you are home you can get your Mobile phone to connect to the modem's WIFI signal (Much stronger) than the Servers WIFI signal) . Technically when you are out it uses the Servers signal and when at home uses the Modems WIFI automatically.
The info you need to connect to the Modems WIFI is printed on the back of the modem, mine as an example:
VX220 BCD6 (This is the Modem network name) and the password 3*********D80 it sounds complicated but just takes a few minutes.
Video on how in the link.
