I have the Beatles collection 14 in the first box and in box 2 are 22 singles, I would like to put them on to a memory pen, sounds easy.
OH NO, IT'S NOT.
The CDs are protected, and programs I have tried are Itunes, windows media player, NCH Suite, and Express Burn.
Shall I just give up?

I copy CDs and DVDs I rent from the local library all the time, and they all are "protected". There are programs which get around the protection.

Ideal DVD Copy is one of the programs that copy protected movies to either my HD or to a DVD.

AnyBurn is another program I use for copying stuff.

There are many such programs available on the Web. Some are free, others cost money.

Whichever, I have thousands of mp3 and mp4 files on my external hard drives.

One program which works with my Win XP and FireFox browser to copy Vids from YouTube is 3dyd.

There *are* methods to do what you want done. Search the Web.

Have always been able to copy all the music CDs and DVDs I have ever bought onto my computer. Music SDs are straight forward, but did get an adapter for my DVDs many years ago and although I have not used it in a while should still work. I got it through Amazon back in the noughties. Have also on my old Freeview boxes been able to download films and programmes of there as well.

Evening all, i have a question, i thought i'd post it here, rather than start a new post...
I have, on my memory stick(s), mixes from way back that were recorded on other PCs,
i copied them to said memory stick, yet when i retract them for a different computer, i get a message like
'cannot open file encrypted or cannot open file protected'
Now, long story short, i have never released any of my mixes, whether online, airwave or club/venue for sale
Is there somewhere/somehow i can get them unencrypted/unprotected without anyone else getting a copy??
Cheers in advance

ps i am somewhat computer savvy

Try these methods

Right-click on the encrypted file and select Properties. In the General tab, select Advanced. Now, uncheck the Encrypt contents to secure data radio box and click on OK.

OR

Insert the flash drive into a USB port on your PC. Open the Start menu and type “control panel.” Launch the classic Control Panel and navigate to System and Security → BitLocker Drive Encryption. Select the encrypted flash drive and click the Unlock drive option.

OR this but it doesn't look promising this one lol

Right click on the USB in file explorer and select 'manage BitLocker'
Choose 'turn off BitLocker'
Confirm you want to turn off Bit Locker.
When the decryption is complete there will be a message.
