The lens put in during the surgery changes the focus of that eye, so your glasses no longer work for that eye. I was 20/400 before coteract surgery 6-8 years ago. Since then 20/20.

AS long as the cateracts don't bother you, don't get the surgery unless they have variable focus lenses.

I had cataracts removed during lockdown
It was a miracle I went in for the operation in a fog and came out into a technicoloured world.
I’m one of those blessed people who never needed spectacles indeed the same goes after the cataract operations
