hi thanks for your reply
i used to be an ok runner did 1/2 marathons and was in a club
but like most age took its toll
would be great to just run a few miles again at a half decent pace
seems a good plan i like it i dont feel guilty about resting !

if im injury free i will get better im sure

but did cycling on turbo trainer using zwift

Been stuck with calf injuries so been doing zwift indoor cycling which is great training ive been doing a good few hilly courses
calf is a lot better now but i usually get 3-5 runs in then boom
will try cycling for a few days then try again

may have to go back to the start but hopefully in few weeks weather will make it more fun

let me know how you get on in your half

Yes its not been great training recently with the weather working against us lol, I'm looking forward to longer daylight hours as I hate running in the dark, although I notice a faster time when I do (;;)

Strains occur when you tear or overstretch one of your muscles.
It's important to make sure the strain is fully recovered before you start exercising again.

i do but in prone to them luckily i can still bike
exercise is the best medicine i can find.
