The Judge ruled that on January 6th 2021 P01135809 did engage in Insurrection and incited others to do the same a finding that would bar anyone else from holding public office in the US. However, in a further finding that has shocked many and has legal and Constitutional scholars scratching their heads the Judge also found that the Office of President of the United States is not an "Office" under the Constitution for the purposes of the 14th Amendment and despite swearing an oath to protect, preserve and uphold the Constitution that oath is not enforceable against the President if they act in contravention to their oath.

The ruling is going to be immediately appealed, but at this point a Insurrectionist who sought to forceably take power in the US will have to opportunity to try again, unless Congress acts and nobody is holding their breath for that to happen.

The Justice system in the USA is a farce, and at some point, if not properly addressed, there will at some time be a flash point that ignites the next civil war, Democracy is clearly failing here. The United States is a representative democracy, this means that our government is elected by the citizens, but big money (Corporate / affluent) has so influenced our government and policies, is this form of govt any longer sustainable ? We no longer worry about the welfare of the people but the best interests of the affluent / Corporations.
