I have to wonder why an English forum.....that was sooooo pointed out to me......is that interested in USA politics would have a complete forum about it. Why do you even care since it was pointed out to me that this is an "English website."

Yes Buzz is a U.K. based website with an International membership.

The USA Presidential election and beyond is a topic of worldwide interest for discussion as is the Russian/Ukrainian conflict.for which we also have a separate category.

From what I’ve seen, the majority of threads in this USA section are raised by Buzz members who live in USA, so they are naturally interested in the politics of their own country.

People in other countries chip in and are interested because USA is a major power in the World, so political developments in USA, especially those which may involve a change of President or change in the majority control of the House and Senate, may impact foreign policy and the global economy.
Here in U.K., and in most countries around the world, the mainstream news reports all major events and significant political developments in USA.

Actually, one of the reasons I joined this site was because of the international membership.
I like to learn about the everyday life and read political opinions from people in other countries and other continents.
I’ve learned a lot from reading threads in this USA section.

Ours is an interdependent world, connected by global flows of goods, services, capital, people, data, and ideas. We, like it or not, are all in this thing together.

Short of a coup, which is not out of the realm of possibilities, Trump will never sit in the Oval Office again.

I consistently hold the view that a person is not responsible for their relatives and that holds for Biden, Trump or anybody else.

Trump has plenty of legal issues without having to bring his relatives into it

It's all about partisan politics, the extremist GOP covered for traitor Don, and now they seek revenge. There is no such thing as justice in the USA, it's how deep is your pocket book. If any working class American had been charged for anything near what Trump has done, justice would have been swift, but traitor Don has deep pockets, full of money and judges.

As of that day, I don't think it could have happened, because the electors had voted. The Supreme court had already ruled on the fraud, The fake electors letters could have been just discarded because they were after the certification. I hope that what would have happened.
Not sure trump realized there would have been a majority of the voters would be pretty darn mad and heads literally would have rolled.

........you have a great point, and Pence, while not the smartest, is not the dumbest person in the world.

There's a young airman that's been in jail since they day they arrested him in April 2023. He doesn't have a lot of money or influence. He was caught with a few documents and hearsay online. Why are not the previous president and Amn Teixeira treated alike? The previous president is just another American citizen now and will always be. He will not see the Oval Office unless he sneaks in. He's a liar, traitor, a cheat, embezzler, a stupid person. Oh, I forgot a jerk too.

Welcome to life in a Corpocracy, your justice runs only as deep as your pockets. When 2025 draws to a close, so will many of the sweeping Trump-era GOP tax breaks established by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017. While the legislation made some tax cuts to corporate profit permanent, lowered individual tax rates will expire on Dec. 31, 2025, and will revert to pre-TCJA levels.
