Cue another ranting session from Trump:

ATLANTA (AP) — Lawyer Kenneth Chesebro pleaded guilty to a felony on Friday just as jury selection was getting underway in his trial on charges accusing him of participating in efforts to overturn Donald Trump’s loss in the 2020 election in Georgia.

Chesebro, who was charged alongside Trump and 17 others with violating the state’s anti-racketeering law, pleaded guilty to one felony charge of conspiracy to commit filing false documents in a last-minute deal. His plea came a day after fellow attorney Sidney Powell, who had been scheduled to go to trial alongside him, entered her own guilty plea to six misdemeanor counts.

In Chesebro's case, he was sentenced to five years’ probation and 100 hours of community service and was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution, write an apology letter to Georgia’s residents and testify truthfully at any related future trial.

The two guilty pleas — along with a third for a bail bondsman last month — are major victories for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who obtained the indictment in August. They allow her to avoid a lengthy trial of just two defendants — which would have given those remaining a peek at her trial strategy — and to whittle down an unwieldy pool of defendants.

I have a good laugh each time a defendant pleads guilty. Essentially that's all the state of Georgia wants. They want those that tried to change votes, interfere with counting, and tried to put in fake electors. Now if more the ring leaders will do the same thing, avoid a trial they will lose the previous president might take that into account. It still will be a felony conviction and won't be able to run for office. I hope the other defendants take notice and start singing.

So much for the moral high ground the Republicans tried to claim, will Rudi be next, though it needs to be kept in mind these pleas are only in connection with the Election fraud matters, there are still RICO charges pending.

Sidney Powell is well known for the role she played in trying to convince the world of P01135809s claims of a stolen election, well known to everybody except P01135809. In a social media post today he claims he doesn't know her, she wasn't part of his legal team and not one of his biggest supporters, though she may have been legal council for LTG Michael Flynn.

This is his form, turn against him and the denials and vitriol quickly follow, Chesebro will be the next person to disappear from his memory.

A week or so ago P01135809 was roundly mocked for a slurring speech he gave in which he stated "Republicans eat their own". many at the time suggested, unkindly, that he was just having a bit of a brain snap, but perhaps not, maybe we owe him an apology and he was just being prophetic.

After, Sidney Powell and Chesebro, two of his lead attorney's there was a flood of serious defections today which added, Jenna Ellis and his CoS Mark Meadows to the opposition benches as people who will testify against him. Long time legal advisor Michael Cohen is testifying in NY, P01135809 never heard of him, no maybe he's just trying to get a better deal, though Cohen made his deal a long time ago and is serving his sentence, more to come. Piled on top of this s the reporting that everyone in the prior Presidents circle, previous or current employment or just a member of Mar a Largo is getting the dirt on everyone else.

That's not even to mention the taped statements from Australian Billionaire Pratt, Pratt is his name not his persona, that he was given highly classified intelligence by P01135809 when dining with guests at Mar a Largo and it has been shared with dozens of people since.

Seems Republicans do indeed eat their own.

As traitor Don and his extremist Right -Wing Republican conspirators did with Hilary Clinton ? It is so hilarious, Trump conspires with a rogue Russian nation to steal an American election, conspired to overturn a legal American election, incited an insurrection in an attempt to steal back the Presidency of the USA , and his supporters, the enemies of Democracy and the USA , think he can / will still be able to steal back the Oval Office, the American people will not let this happen..

Sadly I won't hold my breath on that, since they elected him in the first place and blindly excuse all his crimes and racial slurs. I lost faith in the USA the day they elected such a despicable individual.:(

Trump is far more dangerous than most people realize.

I voted for him in 2016 , but after the he began to rant that the 2020 election was stolen, I soon saw the real Trump.
He reminds me of the early days of Nazism.

Today at his trial, he stormed out of court when the judge refused to dismiss the case.

He does not like to follow rules or laws.
The judge had given him instructions on how not to disparage the judges clerk. The previous president continued to do it and got a 10,000-dollar fine and called to the witness chair to be admonished. As the crybaby he is, he stormed out of the courtroom and went out and of course went right to the cameras to complain.
Any other defendant would have been in contempt of court and allowed to sit in jail for a couple days. But not if you have his money. I bet the Secret Service would be happy to sit in the jail cell for several shift changes. They could all sit and play cards or go to the canteen. I hope the judge keeps doubling the fine each time, because there will more times where he makes comments.

During his brief testimony when P01135809 inferred that he wasn't referring to the Judges clerk with his disparaging remarks it is reported that the Judge informed him and the court, "I do not find you a credible witness", that was believed to have been what prompted his walkout and his further offending immediately after.

More fun in the Trump household, Ivanka Trump has lost her bid to not have to testify in her fathers fraud trial in NY. The daddy issues could become immense.

Ivanka has lost significant contact and influence with her previous circle of socialite friends since her father became President and has spent untold energy trying to rebuild her position, both from a social perspective and a business one. Testifying is likely to nullify those attempts as well as further harm her status in the business world.
