"First, check any major news outlet. The narrative about Biden's presidency could not be more negative. The country's in total chaos. The economy's floundering, inflation's out of control, supply-chain delays are ruining Christmas shopping, COVID-19's worse than ever, Biden's failed to deliver on any major legislation, his poll numbers have tanked, Democrats have already lost both the House and Senate, and it's only a matter of time before Donald Trump's back in the Oval Office. It's all gloom and doom. No wonder people are depressed!"
Except that's not what's actually going on. Yes, there are problems. Inflation's at least a temporary problem. The delta variant's spawned a whole new wave of new COVID-19 cases. Infighting among congressional Democrats has hobbled Biden's efforts to pass his legislative agenda.

But here's what the media is not telling you: The Biden administration has delivered the fastest economic recovery in American history. The unemployment rate is now at 4.2 percent. The number of Americans filing unemployment benefits for the first time fell last week to a 50-year low. A CNBC economic survey found that, despite inflation, Americans plan to spend 13 percent more this holiday season than last.

And, despite Democratic in-fighting and all-out Republican opposition, in 11 months Biden has signed a $1.9 COVID-19 relief bill and a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, the largest public works investment since President Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System in 1956. And, whether it happens in December or January, he's on the verge of delivering on the $1.75 trillion Build Back Better bill, the nation's biggest social programs investment since Medicare. All good news you'd never know from reading or watching the morning news.

Meanwhile, the media's not only ignoring Biden's accomplishments, it continues to paint Donald Trump as a pitiful poor loser, complaining about the last election. Which he's not. Trump's far worse and more dangerous than that. He's today's Robert E. Lee. He's an active seditionist out to destroy our democracy by undermining faith in the electoral process, endorsing candidates and empowering state officials who vow to overthrow the will of the people. It's the media's duty to tell the truth and expose and condemn Trump as such, instead of portraying him as just another failed, disgruntled politician.

The claim that the mainstream media (outlets other than Fox) are supporting trump, combined with the economic news, are eerily reminiscent of the Jimmy Carter years in the 1970s. Instead of Trump it was Tricky Dick, Richard Nixon, who was the source of all evil in politics and the reason Carter was beset by steadily increasing inflation rates. While Nixon did start the problem with wage and price controls (anyone remember base price lists in supermarkets?) Carter did nothing to repeal them, instead embracing the democrat ideal of ever-increasing government control over private business.

Flash forward from 1977 to 2021 and we see the government relying on that other feel-good tool, handing out cash by the trillions. We're told, by Mr. Biden, that a group of "economists" has proven that printing more money, inflating the money supply, actually reduces inflation. Anyone who took Econ 101 in school remembers what happens when too much paper cash chases too few goods. History has plenty of examples: Weimar Germany, 1950s Hungary, 1970s US, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and without the extension of wartime rationing the UK of the late 1940s to early 1950s would be on that list too.

When the inflation (it was called stagflation back then...stagnant inflation) news became too widespread for the Nixon deflection to work the Carter administration switched to claims the media (which was every bit as partisan then as now, except there was no Fox), came up with the idea that the media itself was to blame. Sound familiar?

I'm sorry but any claim the far-left media would act to support Trump against Biden and the democrat agenda defies credulity.

The intentions of media(not fox) is not to support Trump, but it's failures to recognize his accomplishments in a world pandemic effected economy serve to assist what the extremist right will politicize to their advantage, and many will not stop to think no matter who was in office, we would(and the world) would be facing the same issues. A little reminder here, the money give away started during the Trump Administration, though the right will blame on the left. Carter was a good man, just a poor President, while Trump and Biden leave a lot to desire as men and Presidents, except Biden is not interested in taking over the Country.

Trump could present his case to the public, but it appears he doesn't want to. Hillary answered questions for 11 hours straight. After a couple of minutes, Trump runs off with his tail between his legs: www.yahoo.com/news/trump-cuts-npr-interv...tless-160442433.html

You mean it was handled like Bidens handlers, turning off the mic, cutting the Television feed, cutting off phone conversations?

I have a lot of sympathy for Biden's press office. Considering what they have to work with they do an extraordinary job and should be complimented for their hard work. Imagine yourself in their place, with three more years to go....

Not near as much as handling the last person. There was no try at handling. See what it got us?
