What's really sad is most Republicans (voters) believe the lie and if the Republican politicians don't they use it thinking it will get them votes. The Republicans are making it harder for Democrats to vote so the scheme could work. We'll be back with an authoritarian president and the legislative sheep that will follow him.

The potential if you are correct, and there is a high probability you are, is that with all the other election gerrymandering the Republicans have been implementing for decades, the only way for the US to regain its democratic equilibrium may be through an armed insurrection, except it will not be the extreme right but middle America that takes up arms. Perhaps the Republicans should rethink gun control.

point to ponder " the amendment was originally created to give citizens the opportunity to fight back against a tyrannical federal government."

Ignoring and dismissing extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene presents a real danger, for those who are ignoring her, there are many who are encouraged by her. It's how tyranny gets it's foothold.Never go to sleep on an extremist, one day they may become reality. If history has taught us anything, it has taught us this.

The danger of extremists and tyranny here - and taking away guns in another thread so that tyranny is harder to oppose does seem at odds with each other somehow.

So we'll keep guns without legislation to control who owns them in the case of a civil war, meanwhile we'll bury innocent victims. Seems gun activists are more interested in having the right to bear arms than they are law and order.

Marjorie Taylor Greene mocked Parkland survivor in unearthed video: An 'idiot' who's trained 'like a dog'

Who knows what's next coming from her and her ilk?

You are correct. It is the 98% of the law abiding gun owners breaking the laws so let take the guns away from them so only the criminals have them.
When the people own guns, the government can't come and round up people and put them in cattle cars.
Put every thing into prospective. Everything that can and has taken a human life should be taken away, Airplanes, cars, trucks, buses, medications, ladders, knifes, and the list goes on and on and on. The anti gun people only focus on things they may no own, but talk about the cars, ladders and things they may own and see how the act.
Getting rid of guns, how about getting rid of the shooter?

I agree Robin, especially in the light of protests of the left calling not only to defund the
police but to eliminate them entirely. There is nothing left for self-protection other than
to defend yourself. Gun sales have soared..as expected. It will be a cold day in HELL
when law-abiding citizens will rid themselves of their guns. Or have them taken away.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms.

Marjorie Taylor Green is a replacement for Donald Trump.

Back in February of this year, Echelon Insights released a poll showing 82% of Democrats said that Donald Trump supporters were their biggest concern. Among Republicans, illegal immigration, higher taxes and support for the police were the top concerns. So it makes sense for the leftist media to try and find stories that will prop up the ratings and stop the downward spiral as viewers leave in droves month after month. Maybe the best chance for leftist media is build more airports so they can pay them to run their programs.

No one is saying take all guns away, not reasonable people, however there should be gun laws.
1. Your cars are registered, guns should be registered. Ladders probably not, if you are old stay off ladders.
2. Gun owners should secure all their guns. So many kids get guns from the being left for access. Thieves steal guns.
2012 to 2017, more than $829 million worth of guns were reported stolen from individuals nationwide, amounting to an estimated 1.8 million guns.
3. If you have mental issues, you should not have guns. Some states are working on that problem.
4. There should not be unfettered access to huge ammo magazines. I am sure the framers of the Constitution did not mean that a 30 to 100 round clip should be available. Again, some states have in enacted limits on the clip size, that should be a national solution. If you really, really need 100 round clips, you should have a license, just like a machine gun. There should be a limit on the amount of ammo you accumulate. No one really needs 20,000 rounds of ammo.

Guns are not of much use without ammo. Just wall hangers decoration then.
If it comes down to an emergency (like trump cultists wanting to start a revolution to dictate who is in the white house), then large ammo clips would be very useful.

Wall hangings might not be a bad idea.

I doubt after hearing about the ones that attacked the Capitol, most are whining babies. Most don't have the brains to use to understand logic or the rule of law. I think legal gun owners would be handle could take care of the brainless so called militias. They are not what the 2nd amendment is talking about.

How can people make lame excuses for MTG? She has no real handle on 'gun rights.' She's a vindictive nut.
Like some people she can't understand or refuses to look at what has been proposed for gun regulation.
So like MTG just go off and make up a bunch of paranoid garbage and harass the victims of gun violence. That's just sick.
Instead of proposing solutions attack reasonable regulation.
Look at what has been proposed instead of attacking commies!!
