Queen Elizabeth strips Prince Andrew of military titles and royal patronages

‘The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen’

That makes perfect sense to me.

If Andrew has been stripped of his HRH title, how do people address him?

I understood Andrew was retaining the Duke of York title ?
So he will be styled “Prince Andrew, Duke of York” but there will no longer be HRH in front of it.

Yes I think you are tight about Prince Andrew as he is a Prince by birth……but The Duke of York?
I am not sure, as that was a given title.

Andrew has lost military titles and royal patronages , Prince Andrew, will also stop using the style His Royal Highness . I think he will still be a Prince and a Duke.

Why is Lizzie doing all this if Andrew has been found guilty of nothing?
Does she know something we don't?

doing all what?

He has been take off active duties while the investigation is under way - same as any other person in a job where they are being investigated. It does not mean they are or are not guilty of anything, it means there is an investigation.

and I can imagine the uproar if the Queen funded his defence with public money or used her influence to pull any strings - so 'he is defending himself as a private citizen' just states that she is not doing that.
