Rest in Eternal Peace Sir your duty is done [

Sir Captain Tom Moore

When I saw this image this morning
I thought some words I would write
About an Artist’s achievement
Creating this wonderful sight
A lot of skill it’s taken without doubt
To create this Mural on a garden wall
Depicting a modern day hero
Already standing ten feet tall
This work carried out with precision
Whilst the country is in Isolation
The subject so well known to us all
As Captain Tom Moore an hero of the British Nation
The funds he raised have escalated
To beyond any reasonable excess
A Centenarial Birthday gift from Tom and his followers
To the British N H S
Like the money he raised beyond wildest dream
Spiralling out of sight
Tom went to Windsor and met H M the Queen
And went home Sir Thomas Moore the Knight

Rest in peace Sir Tom and God Bless You

I hope there is some way he can have a hero's funeral.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the families of all those who have died from this horrible virus.
There is a crack ... a crack in everything .... That's how the light gets in.

A gentle, unassuming man who, unwittingly, became a national hero. RIP Sir Tom. The world will be a poorer place without you.
