I was thinking that perhaps Sadiq Khan would be a great choice, but failing that, i'm sure Boris will find someone that Donny approves of.

We will still end up with a version of her plan for leaving the EU, rickitts ( ?) or not.

Do we get a choice?

Most of us oiks don’t even get a say in who our next PM will be, so we sure won’t be getting a say in whether TM or the next PM should appoint Darroch’s replacement.

I can’t imagine TM will be able to rustle up a replacement at this late stage, so I expect it will be one of the new PM’s first jobs to appoint someone. .... How amazingly convenient - it couldn’t have worked out better if he’d planned it! wink.png

Theresa May is desperate to leave some form of legacy.

Yes the whole thing does look far to convenient as a means of cementing Trumps like of Boris and removing potential irritants and while I would like Mrs May to step in the process for selecting a Ambassador could not be properly concluded in the time available, especially as the host country has some input. Traditionally this is not usually negative but in this instance I suspect it will be Trump selecting the new Ambassador rather than the UK.

Clearly it wont be you as the majority of the US voting population didn't vote for him, they did in fact vote for, in your words , the left wing liberal.
