Would Adam Barlow, a lawyer, be satisfied that his cheating wife had received a phone call from the DNA clinic saying he is the father of her child ? Would he not want to see proof of paternity written in a letter ?

Not in soapland he wouldn't! Those two deserve each other IMO.

I'm guessing Damon is hence all the secrecy with the letter..

Fingers crossed it is Damon - he was for me the best character to be introduced to Corrie lately, and sexed it up a bit as well.

Bring back Damon (i may start a petition) and ditch Adam Barlow the 'wet weekend of Weatherfield' ....

The actor who played Damon was recently in a mini series set in Australia called Riptide. He was very good. I imagine he will be back in Corrie before long.

Adam gets to see the test results next week.

I’ve only just caught up with Wednesday’s episode - when Sarah was in the Garden a week or two ago, I thought it looked like Sarah had torn the letter up and thrown it in the rubbish bin without opening it - my optimistic nature thought it would end up that Adam was the Daddy after all.

In Wednesday’s episode, I saw Sarah actually read the letter (which her sneaky Uncle Stephen had taken from the bin and read and kept! - what’s the chances of that?!)
They still didn’t tell us who the Daddy was!

My optimism is still thinking it might turn out that Adam is the Daddy after all!

Tonight’s episode has just begun, so fingers crossed!

Maybe they’ll string it out for ages - I guess it depends whether or not they’re planning on writing Adam or Sarah out in the near future! They both have family on “the Street” but I think they’ve both come and gone again in the past.

(I find it amazing that the same actor, Tina O’Brien, has played the part of Sarah Platt since Sarah was 12 - O’Brien was 16 then)
I know she left for a long time but I’ve been watching a few of the old episodes of Corrie when Sarah was still a teenager - oddly enough, over 20 years later, Tina O’Brien still looks pretty much the same now as she did then!
