If all else fails it might be an idea to ask at a local cafe to spare you half a dozen.

That’s okay. There’s always something else to whine about...

Dare I suggest that there is always the dried powdered egg alternative, preparation options are limited but you still get the eggy goodness, or so they say. I have no problem getting eggs down here so it is hard to fathom how going without will affect some. I also have poultry, only ducks at the moment, foxes are my main worry, they lay far more than I can consume, though I have never been a avid duck egg eater, they do in a pinch for cooking, and the dogs love them, great for their coats.

Because people like myself are still happy to buy them, although I do not think we get them anymore. As far as I'm concerned an egg is an egg, and as a Strategic shopper I'm more concerned with the price, so will always go for the lower price every time .

I wonder how many people would continue to buy eggs from battery hens if they were made to visit a battery farm and see the terrible suffering of those poor hens?
Sometimes conscience trumps saving money.

We also have what are called egg substitutes or liquid eggs that come in a small carton. The main brand in the US is Egg Beaters. I assume other countries have something similar...
