Well it’s not a crime to kill a spider, as far as I know. I look at them more as a friend and one of God’s creatures. I catch them with toilet paper and re-home them for the ladies. If I see one I leave it be. Odds are they leave me alone as well. Something to ponder.

If it's a small one up high in a corner, I don't mind that but when a huge, hairy one comes crawling across the floor, then I mind! I just wish they would stay outside!

Far be it from me to judge what freaks people out. As Pats mentioned though, spiders play a vital role in nature. Their looks are likely a part of evolution as well. Try catch and release next time. See how you feel. :D

Spiders actually freak me out in the true sense of the word, also do horror movies (I wont watch them) some heights, standing near the edge of a cliff, finding half a worm in my dish of cottage cheese, (that has happened twice in my life when eating out) people chewing with their mouths open.....these are just a few that just came to mind, I imagine there are more though.

Spiders do not like the smell of conker oil, or put fresh conkers one each side of every windowcill in your house. Or you can use a peppermint oil spray, but that doesn't last as long as the real conkers do.

I used to "keep" a big spider just over the greenhouse door, it ate the aphids off the tomato plants, until Hubby saw it one day.........gone now! I agree, I wish they would stay in the garden where they do most good.

What really freaks me out is seeing on tv, all these crowds of people (fans) at rugby matches, or football matches, Crufts dog shows, and now the races (they expect 60,000 people at Cheltenham races) all mixing and passing on the Coronavirus, when Hubby and I are trying to stay in our own home as much as possible and take every precaution.

This is honestly what really freaks me out most
