Ok for the first time in my life the wife decided to give me Poached eggs for Breakfast, I have never had poached eggs before.
Well it was a disaster I had them on toast and when I bit in to the egg the runny yolk sprayed out everywhere all over my hands trousers and the floor! None in my mouth! So I nursed my burns and needless to say the hideous mess of poached eggs went in the bin and I settled for cornflakes.
I always have eggs fried and I always have them well done so well done the centres are hard not runny as I hate runny egg.

What is your favourite way to eat eggs if indeed you like eggs? Do you like them runny or hard?

I eat my poached eggs on toast or toasted English muffins. I eat them with a knife and fork, not like a sandwich.
If you don't like runny yolks, you don't like poached eggs.

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end

I love poached eggs . I use an egg poaching pan compartmentalised for each egg as it gives a better, tidier result.

I'm with oldal here. I also eat poached eggs with a knife and fork, on toast.

As for runny yolks, that depends on whether the egg is on a sandwich or not. I have to have a hard yolk on a sandwich, although my favourite way to have eggs regardless of the situation is scrambled.

Oh yes scrambled eggs are food from the gods, a bit of spring onion and mushrooms sliced up in there is heaven.

I love eggs cooked in most ways.

Favourite is poached egg, with cooked but soft white and runny yolk, nestling in an upturned large field mushroom, which has been sautéed in butter, with a generous twist of black pepper ... mmm....

I generally eat eggs on Sunday in the form of an omelette. I do like them other ways too - although I need to be in a particular mood to have them poached.

I like a poached egg.
I bought some poach pods to put in a pan of water, you need to get the timing right or they can overcook . I'm hopeless at cooking poached eggs in the traditional way..

Things have certainly gotten fancier.

My mother had one of these...

She also had one to do a single egg...
